Jude Bellingham Operated in a high role on the right and did plenty of the hard yards. Displayed moments of class and mishit an effort wide. Substituted in the closing stages by Rogers, a fellow player, following a yellow card. 7

The winger Was presented with England’s best chance in the opening period, his shot excellently kept out by Thomas Strakosha. As a teammate holding position, it fell to him to stretch the play on the right but his crosses from the touchline were inconsistent. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

The captain The match-winner with his two more strikes for his country. His first a classic poacher’s finish while the second an excellent headed goal following a clever run off his defender. Aged 32, he’s only getting better with the national team have every chance in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8
